Everyday pain: Pain perception between women and men differently
There are at many levels - the differences between men and women. Even thetopic of pain is no harmony between the sexes. Here differ even in several ways, namely in terms of frequency and the perception of pain as well as in dealing with it. High Heels, holes in the earlobes, eyebrows pluck: Many women are willing to look for her to suffer pain. On the other hand, women walk around with pain differently than men. They also suffer significantly more acute in the head, back or leg pain, as a representative study of the Robert Koch Institute showed. Even the perception of pain differs significantly between the sexes, as Professor Dr. Hartmut Goebel, director of the Kiel Pain Clinic, explains: "While men often ignore the pain and try to solve problems themselves, women are more likely to help seek a larger social support and take more medicines.
