Smoking Offers Bad Breath And Gum Infection Consequence

Of course, smoking causes not only bad breath but also a big contribution to gum disease. High protein diets are also thought to contribute chronic halitosis. As a matter of fact, people with diet containing low carbohydrates also tend to develop a certain type of bad breath. Eating garlicky meal, and foods with onions or other spices may leave their own aroma in the oral cavity but they are not the cause of chronic bad breath problem. Many thought that chronic bad breath comes from the digestive tract or from the lungs. Well, that does not go for all cases. The best means to remedy or treat chronic bad breath or halitosis is to get rid of the underlying condition first such as gum infection. A good start to treat gum disease and bad breath would be an immediate visit to the dentist's office and swearing to quit that bad habit of smoking.
